The KFC Youth Foundation was launched in 2015 to empower young people across the UK through three core programmes: the Community Grants Programme, dedicated Youth Hubs, and the employability initiative, Hatch.
Through the Community Grants Programme, the Foundation has backed hundreds of local non-profits that offer safe spaces, mentoring, and real pathways into work. Over the past five years, they have awarded £1.6 million across 590 grants, supporting thousands of young people facing economic disadvantage.
But the work doesn’t stop there. In 2025, the Foundation opened its first Youth Hub, in Middlesbrough, offering open-access youth services and tailored support. With plans to open two more hubs by 2030, their ambition is only growing.
The KFC Youth Foundation also champions young people to get into employment through Hatch, helping young people not in education, employment or training to gain paid work experience and build confidence.
